Dr. Behruj Shikdar

Dr. Behruj Shikdar, DPM, is a board-qualified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients of all ages. He combines the latest evidence-based treatments with a compassionate, patient-centered approach to relieve pain, restore function, and help patients return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Shikdar specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including fractures, sports injuries, tendon and ligament disorders, arthritis, bunions, hammertoes, deformities, diabetic foot conditions, wound care, and both acute and chronic foot and ankle pain. His surgical expertise includes reconstructive foot and ankle surgery as well as minimally invasive (MIS) techniques, allowing many patients to benefit from smaller incisions, less postoperative pain, faster recovery, and excellent functional outcomes when appropriate.

He believes that every patient deserves an individualized treatment plan tailored to their lifestyle, goals, and overall health. By emphasizing patient education, shared decision-making, and open communication, Dr. Shikdar works closely with each patient to achieve the best possible outcome through both conservative and surgical treatment options.

Dr. Shikdar earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.

He completed a comprehensive three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. His extensive training included foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine, minimally invasive surgery, reconstructive foot and ankle procedures, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and advanced surgical techniques.

Dr. Shikdar is Board Qualified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). He remains committed to advancing his knowledge through continuing education and incorporating the latest innovations in foot and ankle surgery into his practice.
