Dr. Behruj Shikdar is a Podiatric Foot & Ankle Surgeon specializing in advanced surgical and non-surgical treatment of lower extremity conditions. He is dedicated to providing individualized, patient-centered care focused on restoring mobility, relieving pain, and improving overall quality of life.

His clinical interests include foot and ankle trauma, sports injuries, reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive procedures, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and chronic foot and ankle deformities. Dr. Shikdar emphasizes clear communication, patient education, and modern evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient’s goals and lifestyle.

Dr. Behruj Shikdar earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

He completed a comprehensive three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training.

Dr. Shikdar is currently Board Qualified in both Foot Surgery and Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).

Dr. Behruj Shikdar has participated in multiple academic research projects and publications focusing on foot and ankle biomechanics and innovative treatment modalities. His research experience includes studies in talonavicular fusion biomechanics and low-level laser therapy for plantar fasciitis.

He has completed advanced specialty training through nationally recognized surgical courses in foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, external fixation, minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, surgical flaps, and complex limb salvage techniques. His continued dedication to education allows him to remain at the forefront of modern foot and ankle care.
